Challis Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 54 621 294 308). Last updated October 2026.

1. We respect your privacy

Challis Consulting Pty Ltd ("we", "us") respects your right to privacy and is committed to safeguarding the privacy of our clients and website visitors. We adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy sets out how we collect and treat your personal information. "Personal information" is information we hold that identifies you.

2. What we collect

We collect personal information you give us, such as your name, phone number, address and email address, so we can respond to you, provide updates and deliver our services. We may also collect information when you give feedback, tell us about your business, change your contact preferences or communicate with us for support, along with any other information you provide while dealing with us.

3. How we collect it

We collect personal information when you deal with us electronically or in person, when you use our website or client portal, and when we provide services to you. If we receive personal information about you from a third party, we protect it as set out in this policy.

4. How we use it

We use personal information to provide our services and information about them, to keep you updated on work we are doing for you, and to improve our services. We may contact you by phone, email, SMS or mail.

5. Disclosure

We may disclose personal information to our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors only as reasonably necessary to deliver our services. We may also disclose it where required by law, such as a court order, subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency, or to protect our legal rights, property or safety, or those of our clients or others.

If there is a change of control in our business or a sale of business assets, we may transfer personal information, to the extent permitted by law, to the buyer under an agreement to keep it confidential.

Our website, client portal and their backups are hosted in Australia. Where we use a service provider that stores information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it handles that information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. The client portal

If you are a client user of our portal, we hold your name, email address and the organisation and projects you have been given access to. Sign-in is provided through our identity service, which stores your sign-in details and any two-factor authentication you set up. We record when you sign in and which project pages and documents you view or download, so that we can show who has seen what and protect your organisation's information. Each client organisation can only see its own projects and documents.

7. Security

We have physical, electronic and managerial safeguards to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send to us or receive from us.

8. Access and correction

You may ask for details of the personal information we hold about you under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, by emailing info@challisconsulting.com.au. We may refuse access in the circumstances the Privacy Act allows.

9. Complaints

If you have a complaint about our privacy practices, please send details to PO Box 100, Midland, Western Australia 6056, or email info@challisconsulting.com.au. We take complaints seriously and will respond promptly after receiving your complaint in writing.

10. Our website

Our website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Like any web server, ours records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which we use only to operate and secure the site. The client portal uses a strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in.

Our site may link to websites we do not own or control. Those links are for your convenience and do not mean we endorse those sites. Please read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

11. Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when they are published on this page.
